As previously mentioned, I decided to animate the four elements using the knowledge and skills I currently have in order to provide me with a base to compare to. Here are the animations:
Overall I found this very challenging, as I just didn't know how some of these should move. They are convincing enough for you to be able to tell what element they are, however I don't think they're particularly appealing. This is okay as hopefully it'll show how much I have improved by the end of the project.
I think my favourite of these is either the water or the lightning. I like the lightning for the shape design and it has an electric quality to it. For the water, I really like the secondary splashes as it makes it more convincing, as well as the fact that it is the animation with the most sense of form.
