I've been struggling quite a bit with how I want to market myself visually, so for this presentation I used a previous long pan BG as a banner, featuring my stamp/logo that will go on future artworks that I want signed or watermarked. I also gave the rest of the slides a traditional paper and ink feel, as working with traditional techniques and processes is something I want to do more of. These slides are visually meant to represent a cross between my use of digital tools with my desire to be more traditional.
I found trying to describe my practice and my ambitions quite challenging, as I'm still quite uncertain about what I want to do and I don't know how to stand out from just wanting to paint BG's currently. I think I need to really think about my future and my current interests and be a bit more specific with my work, so that I can really explore avenues rather than just be an uninteresting, general 'BG painter'.
Doing this presentation also made me realise I really need to work more on my personal branding. I don't think that it really represents me visually, and whilst I do want to work on being more traditional I don't really think it's the sole focus of my work, or what I enjoy.
