PP1 - The World of Autism PSA & Nightmare Malaria

These two PSA's are both trying to raise awareness for a topic, and use animation as a tool to both make the message easier to understand, as well as make it more memorable. They also use narration as an effective tool to enhance their message.

The World of Autism's narration is very matter of fact, which is reflective of the disorder and allows the imagery to be more creative without losing the points its trying to make. Nightmare Malaria uses its narration to enhance the storybook style with its rhyme, whilst also tying it to malaria. I think the narration in both these PSA's really add to them.

In addition to this, I really like the style of both shorts. The World of Autism's set is beautiful, and the wooden puppets create a sense of childhood creativity. The combination of 3D and 2D in Nightmare Malaria, and its use of flowing transitions creates a very dynamic and enjoyable to watch animation.
